2026 Busan International Rock Festival Names Rookies on the BU-ROCK TOP 10
The 2026 Busan International Rock Festival (BIRF) announced in late July 2026 the TOP 10 finalists for its newcomer competition, "Rookies on the BU-ROCK." The 10 acts were selected after a second round of live audition judging, and will perform in the main competition October 2 (Friday) through October 4 (Sunday), 2026, at Samnak Ecological Park in Busan.
The TOP 10 lineup
The following are this year's TOP 10 for "Rookies on the BU-ROCK." The order listed does not indicate ranking:
- Kim Pureum (김푸름)
- Day Never Change (데이네버체인지)
- Beirut Taxi (베이루트택시)
- For the Poet (시인을 위하여)
- Asadal (아사달)
- Eddie and the Bricks
- Cheomdung Ori (천둥오리)
- Band CMC (최춘목밴드)
- To More Raw
- Poser Idiott (포져군단)
According to organizers, all TOP 15 acts will perform at the festival: TOP 11-15 will play special showcase sets, while the TOP 10 advance to the formal competition rounds. An awards ceremony will close out the three-day event.
