Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Orchestral Tour Launches January 2027 in Tokyo
Nintendo confirmed during a 30-minute Nintendo Direct broadcast on September 8 that The Legend of Zelda will get a global orchestral concert tour to mark the series' 40th anniversary. The tour opens on Saturday, January 23, 2027 at Tokyo Garden Theater, running through Japan before moving on to North America, Europe and Australia. The Direct opened with a live orchestral performance paired with footage tracing 40 years of the series' evolution of Link, Zelda and Ganon. According to NME, series composer Koji Kondo personally announced the tour during the broadcast.

NME reports that venue details for the overseas legs, along with additional tour dates and ticketing information, will be announced soon.
Kondo: Wanting More People to Hear It Live
Kondo told the Direct that the original series' first songs were made with just three sound channels, while modern Zelda entries now feature both massive ensembles and delicate orchestration. He said Nintendo wants "more people to hear this music live," then announced the tour would launch next year.
2027 is also the release year for the live-action Legend of Zelda film, starring Bo Bragason as Princess Zelda and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link. Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto has said the film tells an "original story" drawing from the series' 40-year history. Separately, London's Southbank Centre has announced details for a "Korean Games in Concert" orchestral show featuring music from titles including Lies of P and Black Desert.
