The Vaccines Debut New Song "Ten Years Too Far" at Mad Cool 2026, Full Setlist Revealed

British band The Vaccines played Iberdrola Music Villaverde in Madrid on Tuesday, July 8, 2026, premiering a brand new track, "Ten Years Too Far," on the opening night of Mad Cool Festival 2026. Frontman Justin Young sang the lyrics "Yes, will I ever feel better? / It's too far, too far, too far," with NME describing the new song as carrying the same manic energy as the band's 2011 debut.

New Song Meets the Debut Album's 15th Anniversary

"Ten Years Too Far" was the centerpiece of the set. Alongside it, The Vaccines revisited a string of tracks from What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?, including "Wreckin' Bar (Ra Ra Ra)" and "Post Break-Up Sex," marking the album's 15th anniversary.

Young thanked the crowd on stage for "making our dreams come true," saying he hoped the band's music had left a mark on everyone in the audience's lives.

Opening Night Lineup and Setlist

Mad Cool 2026 runs through July 11 and marks the festival's 10th anniversary. Alongside The Vaccines, opening night featured Foo Fighters, Wolf Alice, The Last Dinner Party, Hotwax, Moby, and Villanelle. Foo Fighters closed the night, with NME reporting the band tore through their sprawling catalogue; frontman Dave Grohl ended the set by thanking fans for "31 beautiful years" in their lives. Later dates in the festival will feature Pulp, Florence & The Machine, and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.
