Who's playing
Tortoise are known for their two-drummer lineup, with members John McEntire and John Herndon playing side by side on separate kits, while also trading off on keyboards, marimba and vibraphone during sets. McEntire is also a noted producer and engineer, having worked on records by Stereolab, Jim O'Rourke, Rachel's and the Pastels.
Why this show matters
The band's 1990s albums Millions Now Living Will Never Die and TNT are widely regarded as foundational records of the post-rock genre, and their 2025 album Touch was also well received. Organizers specifically flagged this Seoul date as historic in their announcement — it's the first time Tortoise have ever performed live in Korea.
