The Damned's 50th Anniversary Tour Hits Japan: Support Acts Confirmed

UK punk band The Damned have confirmed the support lineup for the Japan leg of their 50th anniversary tour. Japanese promoter Creativeman Productions announced the news on its official Instagram: Yuutenjin (有頂天) will open the Tokyo show, while pandagolff takes the Osaka date.

What was announced

Why this matters

The Damned are widely credited as one of London's three foundational punk bands. Formed in 1976, they're behind "New Rose," often cited as the first UK punk single, and their 1977 debut album Damned Damned Damned (released in Japan as 地獄に堕ちた野郎ども) is considered a cornerstone of punk's early years. Creativeman's announcement frames the band as "one of London's three great punk bands," marking this run as part of the band's 50th anniversary tour.

Ticketing and venue details for both the Tokyo and Osaka shows can be found via the official Creativeman page linked above.
