The Strokes Announce Four Australian Tour Dates for February 2027, With Beck and Courtney Barnett
The Strokes have announced a four-date Australian tour for February 2027, their first return to the country since a sold-out run in 2022, aside from a single headline set at Adelaide's Harvest Rock festival in 2025. The trek supports the band's new album Reality Awaits and kicks off in Brisbane before wrapping in Sydney as part of a new festival series.

Support acts and the Sydney Summertime debut
The Sydney date doubles as the opening show of Sydney Summertime, a newly launched concert series at Centennial Park. That bill also includes Beck, Courtney Barnett, and Promiseland. Barnett and Promiseland will additionally open for The Strokes at both Melbourne dates and the Brisbane show.
The band's recent moves
The Strokes have spent much of the past year on the road. At Coachella, the band projected footage of the war in Gaza and referenced the CIA on stage, drawing significant attention as one of the festival's more pointed political statements. They are currently on a North American tour, with UK and European dates set to close out the run in October.
Separately, frontman Julian Casablancas has taken on a role as sound curator for The Singapore Masters Show 2026, staged by Opera Gallery. Far Out Magazine reviewed Reality Awaits at three and a half stars, writing that it delivers "flashes of virtually everything they've done before," while still introducing a willingness to experiment.
