Sonic Shaman and Lucerne's Out In The Loop Team Up for 24-Hour Taipei–Lucerne Hybrid Festival, First 28 Acts Revealed
Taipei experimental music platform Sonic Shaman and Lucerne, Switzerland's Out In The Loop are co-presenting a 24-hour hybrid festival running simultaneously in both cities on November 14 (Sat) to 15 (Sun), 2026. The event, billed as a "Hybrid Pop Cultures Festival," takes place at JUT RS289 in Taipei and Neubad in Lucerne at the same time, linked by a telematic transmission system so audiences in both cities share the same program timeline.
The organizers announced a first wave of 28 performers on their official Instagram, drawn from Taiwan, Singapore, Southeast Asia and Europe, spanning experimental electronic music, noise, DJ sets and cross-disciplinary performance art. The announcement video used a track titled "Penarabadan" by Indonesian group KUNTARI as its soundtrack.

A Two-City Curatorial Framework
The project pairs Neubad's Out In The Loop program in Lucerne with Sonic Shaman in Taipei, connecting the two venues via a telematic (remote transmission) system so audiences in both locations experience the program on a shared timeline. Organizers have used the hashtags #TelematicSystem and #Transmission to frame the concept, positioning the event at the intersection of sound art, experimental music and live performance.
The lineup draws on multiple cross-disciplinary scenes: Betty Apple, lololol, Su Wen-Chi and TZECHAR represent Taiwan's experimental music and performance art scene; Arthur Hnatek, Benjamin Burger, Tim & Puma Mimi and Talaya Schmid represent the Swiss side; while KUNTARI, Mervin Wong and DuckUnit represent experimental and sound-based work from Southeast Asia. The project is supported by Swiss cultural foundations Pro Helvetia and Temperatio.
