SOB x RBE Reunite After Seven Years for New Single "Ten Summers"

Vallejo, California rap outfit SOB x RBE released a new single, "Ten Summers," on Thursday, July 31, 2026 — their first studio recording in seven years and the first release from the group's remaining members since splitting up.

Origins and the breakup

SOB x RBE formed in 2017 when two teenage rap duos from Vallejo merged into one group, building a following on a hard-edged sound rooted in Bay Area rap traditions. In 2018, Kendrick Lamar tapped the group to contribute to the soundtrack for Black Panther.

The group's run was turbulent from early on. After releasing the album Strictly Only Brothers in 2019, SOB x RBE broke up. That same year, former member Lul G was arrested on murder charges; he was sentenced to 21 years in prison in 2023. "Ten Summers" was recorded and released by the group's remaining members.
