Babyshambles, Ash, Cast to Headline Shiiine On Weekender 2027
British festival Shiiine On Weekender has announced its first-wave lineup for 2027. The three-day event runs Friday, March 19 through Sunday, March 21, 2027 at Butlin's Skegness, marking the festival's third time at the seaside resort. Organizers are billing this edition as a large-scale celebration of indie, alternative and dance music. Cast, Babyshambles and Ash headline one night each — the first appearance at the festival for both Cast and Babyshambles. According to NME, package tickets are already on sale.

Beyond the stage: closing party, comedy and accommodation
Sunday night's closing party is curated by Tim Burgess alongside Star Shaped. The dance stage Rave On returns with The Sabres of Paradise, The Orb, Bez, Steve Davis, James Atkin and Kavus Torabi on the bill.
Also on site: comedy sets from Rob Newman and Terry Christian, plus Q&As, bingo and pool parties. The festival is on-site accommodation only — there's no camping or tent area — and tickets are sold as packages rather than single-day passes.
Where Babyshambles stand now
Babyshambles reformed last year for their first shows in over a decade. Following the death of original guitarist Patrick Walden, the band closed out that tour at London's KOKO in December. A live album from that show, Live At KOKO, is due October 9 via Pete Doherty's own label, Strap Originals.
Asked about new material, Doherty told NME the band has "a few bits and pieces" of ideas and described the current state as "a bit wide open," stressing the band isn't signed to any company and feels no pressure — they'd only consider making a record if they wrote twelve good songs together. Doherty has also teamed up with Josh Pugh on a new show, The Pete Doherty Show, with guests including Sleaford Mods' Jason Williamson and actress Natalie Cassidy.
