Sailor Honeymoon Lands NME's The Cover, Curates a 14.5-Hour Seoul-to-London Flight Playlist

Seoul punk trio Sailor Honeymoon are the subject of NME's The Cover feature published Monday, August 3, 2026, written by Rhian Daly with photography by Annie Chung. The debut album: The Worst Of Sailor Honeymoon

Sailor Honeymoon is fronted by guitarist-vocalist Zaeeun Shin and bassist Yelim Kim. Their debut album, The Worst Of Sailor Honeymoon, will run 13 tracks, with lyrics tackling bad relationships ("I Wanna Leave You"), tight finances ("Money"), and dull day jobs ("Paperwork") — all filtered through punk energy aimed at life's imperfections.

In the NME feature, Zaeeun Shin discusses the band's core theme: where K-pop's system demands perfection in both looks and personality, Sailor Honeymoon pushes the opposite way, arguing that imperfection is itself a legitimate way to exist. No release date for the album has been announced yet.
