Radiohead and The Cure Songs Confirmed for Rhythm Game Stage Tour
Radiohead's "Just," The Cure's "Just Like Heaven" and Bad Omens' "Just Pretend" have been confirmed for Stage Tour, the rhythm game being developed as a spiritual successor to Guitar Hero. Developer RedOctane announced the additions on August 5, 2026 — all three song titles happen to contain the word "Just," which is what got people talking. The game is slated to arrive on consoles and PC sometime in 2026.
Why Stage Tour exists
The Guitar Hero series went dormant after 2015's Guitar Hero Live. Last year, the original development team relaunched under the RedOctane studio name and posted a blog titled "A Genre Worth Fighting For – Our Return To Music Rhythm Games," stating: "This won't be Guitar Hero, DJ Hero, Guitar Freaks, or Rock Band — this is something new." The game's actual title, Stage Tour, was confirmed in June 2026.
It will support PC keyboard input plus multiple controller types, offering guitar, bass, drums and vocal modes, alongside dedicated custom-designed hardware peripherals. RedOctane says the goal for the soundtrack is to blend "iconic rock classics with modern global hits" across rock, metal, alt-rock and pop-punk, with every track officially licensed.
