Pollstar Daily Pulse: Mrs. GREEN APPLE Dominates Japan's Arenas, LANY Signs With CAA

Industry trade Pollstar led its Daily Pulse newsletter on October 6, 2026 with a cover story on Japanese band Mrs. GREEN APPLE, reporting on the group's dominance of arena and stadium touring in Japan. The same edition carried two other artist items: talent agency CAA has signed independent pop group LANY, and Filipino-American singer Bella Poarch has announced her first-ever solo tour.

Mrs. GREEN APPLE pushes J-pop to stadium scale

Pollstar's cover feature, titled "Mrs. GREEN APPLE Dominates Arenas & Stadiums, Takes J-Pop To New Heights," reports that the band currently leads Japan's large-venue and stadium touring market, pushing the scale of Japanese tours to new levels.

The piece frames this through the word "globalization" — a term previously applied to the international expansion of genres like K-pop and regional Mexican music — arguing it now applies to the current state of J-pop touring as well.

CAA signs LANY, names new COO

LANY, the American independent pop group that has built a large fanbase across Asia, has signed for global representation with CAA. In the same item, CAA also announced the appointment of a new Chief Operating Officer.

Bella Poarch announces her first solo tour

Bella Poarch has announced her first-ever solo headlining tour. Dates revealed so far span North America, the UK, and Europe — no Asia dates have been announced at this time. The same Pollstar edition also rounded up newly added dates from Staind and Kenia Os.

Other industry news in this edition

Pollstar also announced the launch of a new biweekly newsletter, Venue Pulse, covering the venue industry from stadiums and theaters to live houses. Its debut issue includes United Center co-owner and Chicago Blackhawks CEO Danny Wirtz discussing the "1901 Project," which includes a 6,000-capacity music hall; an interview with Laura Alexander, Rupp Arena's first female general manager; renovation announcements at several MLB and NFL stadiums; the opening of Coliseo GNP Seguros in Guadalajara; and Pollstar's venue rankings.

Other items include analysis of the fallout from Ticketmaster's loss in the BOTS Act lawsuit, Wisin's move to sign with WME, and Oak View Group taking over operations of Riverview Health Arena.
