MUTEK Teams Up With TTXC for First Time, Bringing "Let's Play!" to Kaohsiung This October

MUTEK, the Montreal-founded digital art and electronic music festival brand, will collaborate with Taiwan's Culture Tech Expo (TTXC) for the first time in 2026. The joint event, MUTEK × TTXC 2026, runs under the theme "Let's Play!" from Thursday, October 15 to Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Pier-2 Art Center in Kaohsiung — a former harborside warehouse district now used as a multi-venue arts and culture space.

What was announced

The organizers have confirmed the dates, city, and two venue spaces within Pier-2, but have not yet released a lineup, program schedule, or ticketing details. The event is framed as combining live performances, forums, workshops, and international matchmaking sessions aimed at bringing together artists, creators, curators, cultural institutions, and tech and creative industry professionals from around the world.

Event details so far

Who's behind it

The event is hosted by Taiwan's Ministry of Culture and the Kaohsiung City Government, organized by the Kaohsiung City Government's Bureau of Cultural Affairs together with the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA). Production is handled by Hello World (初未來), with MUTEK as the international partner.

Why it matters

This marks MUTEK's first formal collaboration with TTXC, bringing the Montreal festival brand to Kaohsiung. For international electronic music and digital art fans who follow MUTEK's global editions, it signals a new potential stop, though with no lineup or ticket information yet, it's too early to plan a trip around it. We'll update this piece once the organizers release further details.
