MONZEN NO KOZŌ Announces First Overseas Tour: Three Taiwan Dates This October

Japanese music project MONZEN NO KOZŌ, led by artist eco mānie, has announced its first overseas tour: a three-city Taiwan run titled "resource 源流" in October 2026, timed to the release of its 2nd EP Dark Mountain. The tour opens in Kaohsiung on October 2 and closes in Taipei on October 4, marking the project's live debut outside Japan since its formation in 2024.

What was announced

The tour runs three consecutive nights: Kaohsiung's LIVE WAREHOUSE on Friday, October 2; Taichung's THE PILLARS(柱) on Saturday, October 3; and CLASH NEW TAIPEI on Sunday, October 4. Taiwan is the first stop on an international run that continues afterward in Aichi, Japan. The shows are produced by Sheng Bo Music (生波計畫), and eco mānie has said the project will build the performances in collaboration with Taiwanese musicians.

Practical details

The lineup and creative team

The touring band features eco mānie on vocals alongside Hisashi Atsumi (keyboard), Ginga Saito (guitar), Kyoh (guitar), and Yuta Mizuno (drums). Tour key visuals are by Koike Grunge, with photography by Mica Kondo, styling by Yui Yoshimura, and hair/makeup by Risa Naito — all from the unité collective.

About MONZEN NO KOZŌ

MONZEN NO KOZŌ was launched by eco mānie in 2024 as a project drawing on personal experience and memory of tradition and nature, foregrounding spiritual rather than material themes. Each lineup is assembled from musicians who cross paths with the project, weaving their individual backgrounds into eco mānie's narrative for one-off arrangements and sound. The project released its debut EP Unseen in 2025, followed by Dark Mountain in 2026 — the release this Taiwan tour supports. The tour's title, "resource," is described in the announcement as referring to the source of nature, the place where water springs forth, and a place that creates flow.
