Modem Announces December 2026 Southeast Asia and Japan Tour Dates

Helsinki synth-pop duo Modem will play a run of Southeast Asian and Japanese dates in December 2026, with label Modem Age Records confirming the full itinerary on Instagram. The Southeast Asia leg opens December 4 (Friday) at Room 526 in Singapore, while the Japan leg kicks off December 10 (Thursday) at Moonstep in Tokyo. A tour poster for the Japan dates had already been circulating on social media before this official confirmation, which the label described as the first time the complete routing has been shared.
Who is Modem
Modem is a synth-pop duo formed in Helsinki in 2020, made up of Tytti Roto and Ville Valavuo, both of whom previously came up through Finland's punk and indie underground before moving toward synthesizer-driven electronic pop. Their sound spans synth-pop, italo-disco and electro, with lyrics touching on animal rights, socioeconomic inequality, self-improvement culture, and the lingering effects of European colonial history.
- Elokuvia 12" single (April 8, 2022)
- Luxuria 12" single (December 2022)
- Megalomania LP (April 26, 2024)
- Interface LP (October 10, 2025), recorded and mixed by Ville Valavuo at Modem Age Studio in Helsinki
Interface is self-released by Modem Age Records in Europe, distributed through Don Giovanni Records in the Americas and Australia, and already has a release channel in Japan — meaning this Japan run isn't landing in a total vacuum.
