Lana Del Rey Plays F1 Singapore, Debuts New "Stove" Track Live

Lana Del Rey performed at the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix (Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix), marking her first live show in nearly a year. During the race's dedicated entertainment slot, she debuted "White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter" live for the first time — the third pre-release single from her upcoming album Stove, which was released this past February. According to NME, the setlist spanned her entire career, including "Young and Beautiful," "Video Games" and "Summertime Sadness."
The staging: a porch house and a swing
The stage reused the design from her previous tour cycle, centered on a house with a porch, with Del Rey spending much of the set singing from a swing alongside backup dancers. What set this F1 date apart was the first-time inclusion of "White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter" in the setlist.
The track is sparse and ghostly in arrangement, co-written by Del Rey with her husband, sister and brother-in-law, and produced by her and longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff. It follows two earlier Stove singles, "Henry, Come On" and "Bluebird."
From Lasso to Stove: an album renamed four times
The album was first announced in January 2024 under the title Lasso, with a release planned for that year. Del Rey described it as her first full foray into country music. She had said in 2021 that she'd recorded an entire country covers album, and in 2023 performed "Stand By Your Man" and "Unchained Melody" live and released a cover of "Take Me Home, Country Roads."
In 2024, she told NME that since the entire music industry was "going country," she wasn't sure she wanted to keep that as the album's focus, and the project was renamed The Right Person Will Stay before later becoming Stove. She also told W magazine that the track "Stars Fell on Alabama" is about her husband, Jeremy Dufrene, a Louisiana swamp tour guide.
What we don't know yet
This March will mark three years since her last album, 2023's Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. According to NME, Stove still has no confirmed release date. Del Rey has also announced an as-yet-untitled companion album to accompany it. On Instagram, she called Stove "a classic album" and described the two projects together as the "most beautiful" work she's made.
