How the Lockdown Unfolded
The show was scheduled to start at 8pm but had not begun by 11:30pm. Videos circulating on social media showed high-profile attendees including A$AP Rocky, Charlamagne Tha God, and Fabolous also stuck outside waiting. Jay-Z eventually took the stage near midnight and addressed the crowd directly: "There's like ten thousand people stuck outside. They shut all the gates down because people rushed the gates, and I don't want to start the show with people potentially getting trampled. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience."
"Extra Innings" capped a three-night run following two earlier shows — night one, "30," marking 30 years since the release of Reasonable Doubt, and night two, "25," marking 25 years since The Blueprint.
