Interpol Announce Official All Points East After-Party at London's Village Underground

Interpol have announced a small-venue after-show in London: doors 10pm on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Village Underground, billed as the official All Points East after-party and co-presented with record shop/label Rough Trade. Earlier that same day, the band play the Outbreak Fest stage at All Points East in Victoria Park, headlined by Deftones — one of their last live dates before their ninth album, This Mirror Weighs A Ton, arrives August 28. According to NME, the band posted the after-party poster to Instagram along with a note about how much they're looking forward to the show.

This Deftones set follows the band's headline UK and European tour this year, which included a sold-out show at London's The O2, in support of their tenth studio album, Private Music.

The new album and a year-end arena tour

Interpol signed to Partisan Records this year, with their ninth album, This Mirror Weighs A Ton, due August 28. They've previewed the title track (which the band say draws on Massive Attack), plus "See Out Loud" and "Iron City." Frontman Paul Banks told NME that "Iron City" is "a dialogue between a human narrator and an AI that has come to power in the future," adding that he isn't afraid of AI: AI replacing art can only build on existing human work, and without new material it degrades into simulacra.

The album also includes "Wings On Fire," already debuted live this year, which Banks called "a fun romp" that fulfills the record's goal of being more rocking and rowdy. Later this year, the band will co-headline a UK and European arena tour with Bloc Party, including two nights at London's Olympia on December 4 and 5.
