Hayley Williams Brings Out Jack Antonoff, Lucy Dacus, Jenny Lewis for Newport Folk Festival Collab Set

Hayley Williams turned up at Fort Adams State Park's Fort Stage on Thursday, July 24, 2026, for a guest-heavy set billed as "Hayley Williams & Friends." The 16-song run included three live debuts, with Jack Antonoff, Lucy Dacus, Jenny Lewis, and Remi Wolf among the collaborators rotating through the set, which closed with a full-cast singalong of Bill Withers' "Lean On Me."

Guest appearances and set highlights

Williams opened with "Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party" and "Kill Me" before inviting Wednesday frontwoman Karly Hartzman up for the heavier "Mirtazapine." This Is Lorelei — the solo project of Water From Your Eyes' Nate Amos — followed with a cover of "I'm All Fucked Up," and Joy Oladokun performed her own song "I'd Miss The Birds."

Jenny Lewis of Rilo Kiley sang "Silver Lining"; Kelsey Lu joined Williams for the live debut of "Leave It Alone," and stayed onstage as Lucy Dacus came out for the first live performance of "Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris." Remi Wolf used the slot to premiere her new song "Twiggy Little Butt" live for the first time anywhere.

Toward the end of the set, Williams and longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff did an acoustic cover of Bleachers' "I Wanna Get Better," followed by the upbeat "Good Ol' Days." The night wrapped with a full-ensemble return to the stage for "Lean On Me," featuring Medium Build, Lucy Dacus, Remi Wolf, Liam Benzvi, and Karly Hartzman, among others. NME reported that Williams' recent Manchester show also received a five-star review.

Williams just wrapped the "Hayley Williams At A Bachelorette Party" tour across the UK and Europe, during which she covered Sinéad O'Connor's "Mandinka" in Dublin and brought out Wet Leg's Rhian Teasdale at London's Roundhouse. The xx's Romy also joined her for a cover of Prefab Sprout's "Wild Horses" at another London show. Starting in September, Williams will head out on a North American and Latin American tour billed as "The Hayley Williams Show."
