No Stage, No Distortion (Mostly): 'Fuzz Restriction Order' Hits Taipei's The Wall on Aug 31

Taiwanese concert series 吉他車輪戰 (Guitar Wheel Battle) has announced its next show, dubbed 破音限制令 ("Fuzz Restriction Order"), set for Monday, August 31, 2026, at The Wall in Taipei (B1, No. 200, Sec. 4, Roosevelt Rd.). The performance uses the series' signature "No Stage" setup — no stage at all, with acts playing directly in the venue's corridor, putting performers face-to-face with the crowd.

The one rule

There's a single constraint governing the night: for the first two-thirds of each set, performers are not allowed to use distorted ("fuzz") guitar tone. What they do with the rest of the time — song choice, arrangement, lineup — is entirely up to them. The show runs as a "Double No Stage" format, alternating between two zones: full bands get 20-minute sets, solo/acoustic acts get 5 minutes each, going head-to-head across the space.

Who's playing

Six full bands are booked: dBuzzjam, 包皮4skin, 狗才樂團 (Dog Talent Band), 臭囊, みみ, and 倒數計時 (Countdown). The acoustic/solo bill features nine acts — 高凱, 林暉恩, 洪惟農, 古孟庭, 大事不妙, Jesse, 潘, 連震堂, and 王欣菇 — plus a special guest the organizers have not yet named.

Visual art for the event comes from 鄭翔予 and label 後空翻唱片 (Backflip Records), with The Wall and No Stage, No_____ handling venue logistics.
