Ghost Bookstore's First Taipei Headline Show Moves Venues Just Three Days Out

Korean indie band Ghost Bookstore will play their first Taipei headline show on September 5, 2026 (Saturday), touring behind their debut full-length album 4 Steps 'Fore the Spiral. Three days before the show, promoter SuperFurry Music announced an emergency venue change: the original venue, Wildlab (野地方), suffered serious water leakage beneath its stage due to nearby construction work and can no longer safely host the performance. The show has been moved to WHOA (文昌號). Tickets already purchased remain valid — only the location has changed.
Show details
- Date: September 5, 2026 (Saturday)
- Doors: 19:00 / Show: 19:30
- Venue: WHOA (文昌號), 2F, No. 130 Wenchang St., Taipei
- Tickets: original tickets remain valid — note the venue change
- Promoter: SuperFurry Music
Why the venue changed
According to SuperFurry Music's announcement, construction work near Wildlab caused significant leakage beneath the venue's stage, making it impossible to run the show there in the short term. The change affects location only — date, doors, and set time are unchanged. Because the notice came just three days before the show, ticket holders should be careful to head directly to WHOA at No. 130 Wenchang St. on the day, not the originally announced Wildlab.
About Ghost Bookstore and the new album
Ghost Bookstore is a Korean band whose name was conceived by vocalist Sue Kim, evoking the image of a ghost so absorbed in a bookstore that it loses track of time and doesn't want to leave. The band played Taiwan's Surfacing Festival (浮現祭) earlier this year; this Taipei date marks their return with their debut full studio album, 4 Steps 'Fore the Spiral, and their first-ever headline show in the city. Musically, the band works across shoegaze and Midwest emo, aligning with sonic directions common in Korea's recent indie scene.
