Foo Fighters Bring Back Decades-Old Deep Cuts for LA Philharmonic Show at the Hollywood Bowl

Foo Fighters played the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 22, 2026, backed by the full Los Angeles Philharmonic under conductor Gustavo Dudamel, with members of the Youth Orchestra Los Angeles joining onstage. The show was part of a concert series marking Dudamel's 17th year leading the LA Phil.
The 15-song set mixed the expected hits — "All My Life," "The Pretender," "Learn To Fly," "Best Of You" — with several long-buried deep cuts, closing with "Everlong" under fireworks. According to NME, footage from the night has already surfaced online.
The full setlist
- "Times Like These"
- "All My Life"
- "The Pretender"
- "Walk"
- "A320"

- "The Sky Is A Neighborhood"
- "Run"
- "I Should Have Known"

Three songs stood out as rarities: "I Should Have Known" got its first live outing since 2012, "Razor" hadn't been played since 2006, and "Home" was last performed in 2007. The band dedicated "Aurora" to late drummer Taylor Hawkins.
Not the first time with Dudamel
Dave Grohl had already shared a stage with Dudamel and the LA Phil at Coachella 2025, where the pair performed orchestral versions of "The Sky Is A Neighborhood" and "Everlong."
Where this fits in the current tour
Foo Fighters are currently touring behind their 12th studio album, Your Favorite Toy, released in April. NME gave the record three and a half stars, calling it a return to the band's fast, loud, straight-ahead punk instincts. Earlier this month the band also released a live EP, Are Playing Where??? Vol. II, featuring six tracks recorded at small venues in New York and New Jersey.
Next up, the band plays Rock In Rio on September 4, followed by a one-off support slot for AC/DC in St. Louis before resuming their own tour. Grohl called opening for AC/DC a dream come true. At an earlier UK date at Anfield, which NME rated four stars, Grohl reportedly teased bigger UK plans for 2027.
