Final Fantasy 15 Piano Collections Getting Vinyl Release in December
The soundtrack to 2016's Final Fantasy 15 is getting its first vinyl treatment. According to NME, Square Enix will release Piano Collections: Final Fantasy 15 – Moonlit Melodies on vinyl in December, with the single LP featuring ten piano arrangements. The release is currently available for pre-order only through Square Enix's official Japan store. The album itself isn't new — it originated as a 2017 CD piano collection — and this vinyl edition is not a vinyl release of the game's full soundtrack.
Who's behind it
The project sees Final Fantasy 15 lead composer Yoko Shimomura return to select the tracks best suited to piano arrangement and oversee the overall production. According to the press release, Shimomura has always composed with an ear toward piano melody lines, and these arrangements refine that further.

Beyond the vinyl release, Square Enix will launch Final Fantasy Resonance next month, a turn-based RPG adapting the first story chapter of the 2015 mobile game Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. The official description centers on traveling with fate-bound companions, summoning phantoms in battle, and uncovering the truth behind a force capable of destroying everything.
Separately, the third installment in the Final Fantasy 7 remake series is scheduled for release in April 2027.
