Dave Matthews Announces First-Ever Japan Tour, Four Cities in January 2027
American singer-songwriter Dave Matthews has announced his first-ever performances in Japan, a four-date acoustic solo run titled "AN ACOUSTIC EVENING WITH DAVE MATTHEWS JAPAN TOUR 2027." The tour opens January 6, 2027 (Wednesday) in Tokyo and moves through Osaka, Kyoto and Nagoya. All shows are solo acoustic guitar performances, staged in concert halls and mid-sized venues. The tour is presented by Japanese promoter SMASH (@smash_jpn).

In its announcement, SMASH described Matthews' voice as distinctively raspy and expressive, and highlighted his guitar playing's characteristic use of syncopated, irregular rhythms.
