Olivia Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields Festival Is Becoming a Film, Director Mary Bronstein Says

Olivia Rodrigo headlined a one-day-only festival called Daisy Chain Fields last weekend in Irvine, California, bringing out Stevie Nicks, Sarah McLachlan and Alanis Morissette for guest collaborations during her set. The benefit show raised $10 million for women's rights nonprofits, and director Mary Bronstein has now confirmed the day will be turned into a film.

Who played

According to Stereogum, aside from Rodrigo's headline slot, the lineup included:

Rodrigo's own set was built around three intergenerational team-ups: Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks, Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan, and Alanis Morissette each joined her onstage.

Fundraising and the film plan

Daisy Chain Fields raised $10 million for women's rights nonprofits. After the event, Melinda French Gates announced she would personally match that with another $10 million donation, doubling the total to $20 million.

Bronstein has said the one-day festival will be released as a film so fans who couldn't attend can see it. No release format or date has been announced yet — that will depend on official statements from the organizers and Bronstein herself.
