Taipei's THE CHILL HOUSE (秋屋) Brings Jazz Kissaten Listening Sessions to MAJI Triangle on Aug 15
A new offshoot of the "2026 Taipei Wild Live! at MAJI" event series, called THE CHILL HOUSE (秋屋), is set for Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 2pm to 5pm at MAJI Triangle in Taipei's Zhongshan District. The concept draws on jazz kissaten from around the world, and turns the Triangle space into a seated "listening room" built around vinyl playback paired with live musicians.
What was announced
Organizers describe THE CHILL HOUSE as a deliberate change of pace from typical nightlife or party formats. The space will be arranged with seating, encouraging attendees to sit, order a drink, and simply listen rather than mingle or dance. Live musicians will play in between vinyl selections, responding to the records in real time.
Who's involved
Dave Oh Yeah (David Frazier), a longtime fixture of Taipei's cultural scene working as an event curator, journalist, and vinyl specialist, will handle the record selection and anchor the vinyl side of the program. The organizers have not yet announced a full lineup of live musicians or other performers.
