Charli XCX Debuts Five New Tracks From 'Music, Fashion, Film' at Nashville Spotify Show, Then Joins Lorde Onstage

Charli XCX played an invite-only Spotify Fans First show at Basement East in Nashville on Wednesday, July 30, 2026, bringing her new album Music, Fashion, Film to the stage. Five songs got their live debut that night — the widest rollout yet of new material, following smaller preview sets earlier this month in Brooklyn and London.

According to NME, "Magic Metal Montana," "Card Declined," and "2007" were performed back-to-back for the first time as a live sequence at this show.

A Surprise With Lorde, Then Straight to Lollapalooza

Later the same night, Charli XCX appeared as a special guest at Lorde's show, joining her for "Girl, So Confusing," their collaboration from the 2024 Brat remix album. The very next day, July 31, she headlined Lollapalooza 2026 in Chicago.

Music, Fashion, Film was released the previous week and received a four-star review from NME, which called it "a celebration of art that feels both urgent and timeless." Charli XCX will headline the Reading & Leeds festival in the UK next month, followed by a major North American arena tour in September.
