Blue Note Tokyo's September 2026 Lineup: Christian McBride, Mike Stern and More
Blue Note Tokyo, the jazz club in Tokyo's Minami-Aoyama district, has announced its lineup for September 2026 — more than 15 bookings running from September 1 through September 29. The month opens with a three-night run led by guitarist Mike Stern, and mid-month brings bassist Christian McBride with his group Ursa Major for three nights. Experimental group The Residents also plays two nights with their Eskimo program. Tickets for individual shows are already on sale.

Who's on each bill
Mike Stern's band brings together drummer Dennis Chambers, trumpeter Randy Brecker, guitarist Leni Stern and bassist Lincoln Goines — a familiar fusion-jazz lineup. Bill Laurance, keyboardist of Snarky Puppy, appears here in trio format.
German trumpeter Till Brönner brings his Italy-themed "ITALIA" program for a four-night run. Christian McBride's Ursa Major is one of the groups he has led in recent years. The rest of the bill includes drummer Ulysses Owens Jr., keyboardist BigYuki, Spanish trumpeter and vocalist Andrea Motis, and drummer Jharis Yokley.
