Apple Music Raises US Subscription Prices for First Time in Nearly Four Years

Apple Music has announced a price increase for its US subscription plans, its first in nearly four years. The individual plan rises from $10.99 to $11.99 per month, the family plan from $16.99 to $19.99, and the student plan from $5.99 to $6.99. The last time Apple Music adjusted pricing was October 2022, when it cited rising licensing costs as the reason.

Old vs. new pricing

Background

Apple Music's previous price increase came in October 2022, also attributed to rising licensing costs. This time, the individual plan rises by about 9%, while the family plan sees the steepest jump at nearly 18%. Apple has not yet announced whether Taiwan or other markets will see matching price adjustments.
