Adam Sandler Officiated the Wedding — NFL Coach Reveals His Marriage Advice to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce married on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Madison Square Garden in New York. Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid recently spoke to CNN and shared a line from officiant Adam Sandler's ceremony speech that has since gone viral.
Inside the ceremony
According to a statement from Swift's longtime publicist Tree Paine, the wedding didn't follow the traditional bridesmaid/groomsman format. Swift's brother Austin Swift served as "Man of Honour," while Travis's brother Jason Kelce stood as Best Man.
Sandler officiated, with performances from Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks. Guests included Ed Sheeran, Selena Gomez, Jack Antonoff, Lena Dunham, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Zoë Kravitz, Aaron Dessner, the Haim sisters, Ellie Goulding, Camila Cabello, Machine Gun Kelly, The Chainsmokers, Lucy Dacus, Benson Boone, and Graham Norton, who previously appeared in the music video for Swift's "Opalite." Also in attendance were Marisa Hargitay, Dakota Johnson, Julianne Moore, Ethan Hawke, Hugh Grant, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day, and Jessica Chastain.
Many details and photos from the wedding have not yet been made public. On the eve of the wedding, the couple announced a combined donation of $26 million (about £19.5 million) to 20 charities across the U.S.
Andy Reid's marriage advice reveal
Reid told CNN that Sandler was "outstanding" at the ceremony, quoting what Sandler told the newlyweds: "Every day, any time you get the chance — whether you're going to bed, going to work, wherever — go kiss her." Reid described the line as saying "the most heartfelt thing in the simplest way."
Sandler himself has been married to his wife Jackie since 2003, and the couple have two daughters. Reid also spoke about witnessing the growth of Swift and Kelce's relationship: "I watched them grow together, and that's what matters most. There's love there, real love." Swift and Kelce went public with their relationship in the summer of 2023 and announced their engagement in August 2025.
