Taiwan Music Festival

Taiwan Music Festival (台灣祭, Taiwan Music Festival / TMF) is the large free beach festival held each spring at Dawan Recreation Area (大灣遊憩區) in Kenting, at the southern tip of Taiwan in Pingtung County. Run with Pingtung County government backing, it carries on the spirit of Kenting's old Spring Scream–era beach parties (it is a distinct event from Spring Scream). The 2026 edition runs across three days, 3–5 April, with five stages, a food-and-craft market and free admission.

The 2026 lineup has been announced — over 120 acts across five stages. Confirmed names include:

Entry is free — no ticket needed, just arrive. There's no ballot or registration to enter the festival grounds. You only pay for food, drink and merchandise on site, and some official merchandise can be pre-ordered for on-site pickup. Note: getting to Kenting and finding accommodation over this holiday weekend is the real cost — book early.

Route: Fly into Kaohsiung (KHH). From Kaohsiung, take the THSR/TRA to Zuoying (左營), then a direct Kenting-bound bus — the Kenting Express or Taiwan Trip 9189 — to the Kenting strip (~2–2.5 hours total). Dawan sits on the main Kenting Street beachfront.

Staying: Kenting hotels, B&Bs and hostels along Kenting Street and Nanwan fill up fast for the festival — book weeks ahead. Early April is warm; bring sun protection, water and something for cooler evenings by the sea.
