About
Taichill City Festival (台秋祭) is a two-day urban music festival held right beside Taichung Station at the Taichung Railway Cultural Park. Its 2026 fifth-anniversary edition, themed 龍馬搖滾家 ("Dragon-Horse Rock Family"), packs 91 acts — 16 of them from overseas — across five stages, spanning rock, hip-hop, electronic and indie. Its city-centre, transit-adjacent location makes it one of the easiest Taiwanese festivals to reach without a car.
Lineup
The 2026 lineup is announced: headliner KST (康士坦的變化球), plus 血肉果汁機 (Bloody Well Death), PAPUN BAND (怕胖團) and 91 acts in total, with guests from Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand and Europe.
How foreigners buy tickets
Taichill is ticketed via KKTIX. Recent prices: single-day presale around NT$1,600, two-day around NT$2,600 (early-bird cheaper; charity tickets NT$600). A KKTIX account can be created with just an email, and international cards are generally accepted — no Taiwanese ID needed. Buy early, as presale tiers sell up.
Getting there & staying
Route: fly into Taichung (RMQ) or Taipei (TPE / THSR). The Railway Cultural Park is right next to Taichung TRA Station — walkable in a couple of minutes. From the high-speed rail, THSR Taichung (Wuri) → one stop by local train to Taichung Station. Organisers recommend train / THSR + bus over driving, as parking is limited.
Staying: budget hotels around the station start from about NT$800, and you're in the middle of central Taichung.
