S2O Songkran Music Festival
The original Songkran water-EDM party — a bucket-list soak-and-rave that draws a huge international dance crowd.
About
S2O Songkran Music Festival is the original water-EDM party — a three-day festival in Bangkok that turns Thailand's Songkran new-year water fight into a giant open-air rave, with cannons, hoses and overhead sprinklers soaking the crowd non-stop. Held in mid-April during the Songkran holiday, it draws a huge international dance crowd and top DJs, and has since been franchised across Asia. It's tourist-oriented, English-friendly, and a genuine bucket-list combination of festival and water fight.
Lineup
2026 lineup (announced): the three-day water-EDM party runs 11–13 April 2026 at S2O Land, Bangkok. Headliners include:
- Alan Walker B2B Steve Aoki
- Zedd
- Kygo
- Lost Frequencies
- Gryffin
- Don Diablo
- I Hate Models
- Da Tweekaz
How foreigners buy tickets
- Buy in English via Eventpop or Ticketmelon. S2O sells through the Thai platforms Eventpop and Ticketmelon (and travel resellers Klook/KKday) — all English, no Thai phone, ID or address needed.
- First-come sale. Single-day and multi-day passes go on sale ahead of Songkran; popular days sell out, so buy early. If you use Klook/KKday, check whether you receive an e-ticket or must redeem a voucher on site.
- Foreign cards work. International Visa/Mastercard accepted; approve any 3D-Secure prompt in your banking app.
- QR e-ticket → wristband. Your QR is scanned/exchanged for an entry wristband; expect airport-style bag checks.
- Bring your ACTUAL passport (original, not a copy) for gate ID checks — and protect it, because this is a soaking-wet event.
Getting there & staying
Route: Fly into Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK) or Don Mueang (DMK). The site (S2O Land, Ratchadaphisek) is reachable on the MRT Blue Line — Thailand Cultural Centre is the closest station.
⚠️ Traffic + last train: Songkran-week road traffic is severe, so take the MRT, not a taxi. Check the last MRT time (~midnight); if the party runs later, budget for a Grab/taxi back.
Staying: this is a city festival — no camping. Stay in any Bangkok hotel on or near the MRT and commute. Book early; Songkran spikes citywide hotel demand.
Bring: it's deliberately WET — a waterproof phone pouch is essential, plus a waterproof bag for your passport/cash, quick-dry clothes and shoes you don't mind soaking. April is extremely hot, so hydrate.
