Rainbow Disco Club (RDC) is a boutique house/techno camping festival held every spring on a mountainside cross-country course in Higashi-Izu, Shizuoka Prefecture — about a 2.5-3 hour trip from Tokyo. The 2026 edition runs April 17-19, 2026. It's known for a tightly curated lineup mixing top-tier international electronic acts with Japan's underground DJ scene, set against ocean-view mountain stages.

Lineup is officially announced for 2026. Confirmed names include international headliners Antal & Hunee, Ben UFO, Daphni, Floating Points, Four Tet, Helena Hauff and Mala, alongside Japanese scene staples DJ MARIA., DJ Nobu, Gonno, Sisi and Wata Igarashi, plus live acts Dungeoneering (Albino Sound & Daigo) and The Melting Hours. How foreigners buy tickets
- Note: 2026 is sold out. All 7 pass tiers (O1-O7) sold out ahead of the festival, so this is mainly a reference for future editions or in case resale/waitlist tickets appear on ZAIKO.
- Buy directly on ZAIKO — RDC sells exclusively through ZAIKO, a Japan-based platform built for overseas buyers, with an English interface.
- Overseas cards generally work — ZAIKO accepts Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express and Diners Club from both Japanese and foreign issuers, plus WeChat Pay and Alipay.
- No Japanese phone number required — the phone field on ZAIKO is optional, unlike many other Japanese ticketing platforms.
- Tickets convert to a wristband at check-in — your e-ticket is exchanged for an RFID wristband at the gate, which then works as your cashless payment method inside the festival — no cash needed once you're in.
Getting there & staying
Route: Fly into Tokyo (Haneda or Narita), then take the Izukyu Line to Izu-Inatori Station, and use the festival's free shuttle bus (about 10 minutes) to the venue. Shizuoka Airport is geographically closer to Izu but has far fewer international routes, so most travelers still go via Tokyo.
Last train: The venue is remote — the free shuttle runs during festival hours between Izu-Inatori/Izu-Atakawa and the site, but plan your return train from Izu-Inatori carefully, as regional lines run infrequently at night; many attendees stay overnight in the area rather than day-tripping from Tokyo.
Staying: Camping on-site (or at the overflow campsite at Higashi-Izu Town Baseball Ground) is part of the experience and typically sells out early; otherwise, hotels/ryokan in Izu-Inatori or Izu-Atakawa hot spring towns are the practical base, connected by the paid shuttle (¥1,000-1,200 one-way in recent years).
Bring: A tent no larger than 4m×3.5m per ticket (oversized tents/tarps need an extra pass), rain gear and warm layers for mountain weather, a gas stove if needed (open flames, charcoal and campfires are banned), and cash is not needed inside once you have your wristband.
