Penghu Beach Music Festival

The Penghu Beach Music Festival (澎大海沙灘音樂祭, "Pescadores Fest") is a free two-stage beach festival on the white sands of Aimen Beach (隘門沙灘) in the Penghu (Pescadores) islands, off Taiwan's west coast. Over three days it gathers around 30 Taiwanese and international bands and singers for non-stop performances by the sea, alongside water activities, beach games and a creative market. Reaching it means a short domestic flight or ferry to Penghu — part of what makes it a proper island getaway rather than a city gig.

The 2026 lineup is announced — roughly 30 acts across two stages. Headliners and notable names include 告五人 Accusefive, 美秀集團 Amazing Show, icyball 冰球樂團, 康士坦的變化球 KST, 甜約翰 Sweet John, 傻子與白痴, 溫室雜草, 公館青少年 and 粗大Band, plus international guests IKE (JP) and YourMOOD (TH). Check the official channels for daily stage splits.

Entry is free — no ticket needed, just arrive. The catch isn't the gate, it's getting to Penghu: budget for a domestic flight (Taipei/Kaohsiung/Taichung/Chiayi/Tainan → Magong, MZG, ~40–50 min) or the ferry (from Budai in Chiayi, or Kaohsiung), and book flights and island accommodation early — August is peak season and both seats and rooms sell out.

Getting to Penghu: fly to Magong Airport (MZG) from Taipei (Songshan/TSA), Kaohsiung (KHH), Taichung (RMQ), Chiayi or Tainan (~40–50 min), or take a ferry (from Budai, Chiayi, or Kaohsiung — subject to weather).

On the island: from Magong, Aimen Beach is about 15–20 min by car or scooter on the main island. Rent a scooter (the usual island transport) or use taxis and shuttles.

Staying: base yourself in Magong city for restaurants and nightlife, or near the east-coast beaches; book well ahead for August. Bring sun protection, water shoes and cash.
