OldTown Party

Old Town Party (舊城派對) is a two-day, multi-stage indie festival that threads through Hsinchu's historic old town, using three century-old landmarks as stages: the Hsinchu Image Museum, Dongmen REC&LIVE, and the Sinjhou House (新州屋). Around sixteen local, international and cross-genre acts play across the weekend, wrapped in a market of local vendors and old-town stories. It's a "wander the city" festival — you walk between heritage venues rather than camp in a field.

Old Town Party is ticketed. Presale prices run about NT$700 (single), NT$1,300 (pair) and NT$2,400 (four-person), all covering both days and including a T-shirt and vendor discount coupons. Tickets are sold through the organiser's official channels — check @hsoldtownparty and their linked ticket page. International cards are generally accepted; confirm the live ticket link and current price on the official site before buying.

Route: fly into Taipei (TPE Taoyuan), then TRA or THSR south to Hsinchu (about 35–70 min). The Hsinchu Image Museum and old-town venues cluster around Zhongzheng Rd, a 5–10 minute walk from Hsinchu TRA Station. From the high-speed rail, THSR Hsinchu (Liujia) connects to the old town via the TRA Neiwan line + a local train, or a short taxi.

Staying: plenty of hotels sit around Hsinchu Station, a few minutes' walk from the stages.
