It runs a Jakarta edition (typically November) and a separate Bali edition, both open-air and intimate rather than stadium-scaled, with an English-comfortable, tastemaker crowd. 1. Buy online — first-come, not a lottery. Tickets sell via the official site (joylandfest.com) and Indonesian platforms such as Loket; day and full passes are affordable but limited given the boutique scale, so buy early.
2. No local phone or ID needed. Register by email and check out from overseas — no Indonesian number, address or national ID required.
3. Foreign cards usually work. International Visa/Mastercard are accepted; the local gateway may ask for 3D-Secure/OTP, so keep a second card ready.
4. Reseller fallback. If checkout rejects your card, Klook/KKday sometimes carry Indonesian festival tickets — check whether you receive a direct QR e-ticket or a voucher to redeem at the box office.
5. QR e-ticket. Download it offline; scan in at the gate (some editions swap it for a wristband). A passport may be needed for age-restricted bars.

Route (Jakarta edition): fly into Soekarno-Hatta International (CGK); reach the city by Airport Rail Link or Grab/Gojek, then ride-hail to the venue. Bali edition: fly into Denpasar (DPS) and use Grab/Gojek or a hotel driver.

Getting around: venues are reached by ride-hailing (24h), not rail — no last-train problem, but leave time for Jakarta traffic.

Staying: it's a city/day festival — stay in a normal hotel near the announced venue and commute; no camping. Book ahead, especially for the Bali edition in high season.

Bring: November edges into Jakarta's rainy season and the site is open-air, so pack a light poncho; it's hot and humid. Carry some cash plus a card, as many stalls use GoPay/OVO e-wallets foreigners can't easily top up.
