Emerge Fest

Emerge Fest (浮現祭) is central Taiwan's flagship indie-rock festival, run by the Taichung-based promoter Emerge Music (浮現音樂). The 2026 edition runs across two days, Saturday 28 February to Sunday 1 March, at Aofengshan Sports Park in Qingshui (清水鰲峰山運動公園) — an open hilltop park near Taichung's coast, with multiple stages and a market. It's known for a strong home-grown Taiwanese lineup rounded out with Japanese and Korean guest bands.

The 2026 lineup has been announced and is still being added to. Confirmed acts include:

• 滅火器 Fire EX.
• 拍謝少年 Sorry Youth
• 怕胖團 PAPUN BAND
• the cabs
• FREDERIC (Japan) — returning to Taiwan after 8 years
• TOUCHED (터치드), plus other Japanese and Korean acts

1. Buy on KKTIX. Tickets are sold through Emerge Music's KKTIX page (and via Klook for some overseas buyers). General sale opened on 25 November.
2. Foreign cards work. KKTIX accepts international Visa/Mastercard; you register a free account with an email — no Taiwan phone number or ID required.
3. Prices. Single-day presale was around NT$1,988; two-day passes ran roughly NT$2,666–3,188 depending on the tier (early-bird tiers sell out first). Confirm current prices on the official site before buying.
4. Delivery. Electronic ticket / QR exchanged for a wristband on arrival.

Route: By regular train, take the TRA coastal line to Qingshui Station (清水), then a local bus, taxi or festival shuttle up to Aofengshan Sports Park. By high-speed rail, arrive at THSR Taichung (Wuri) and transfer to a TRA train or bus toward Qingshui. Driving from Taichung city is about 40–50 minutes.

Staying: Most visitors base themselves in Taichung city or around Qingshui/Shalu and travel out to the park each day. Late February can be cold and windy on the hilltop — bring a warm layer and rain gear.
