Clockenflap is Hong Kong's largest music and arts festival, held over roughly three days on the Central Harbourfront with the skyline and Victoria Harbour as a backdrop. How foreigners buy tickets
- Buy direct on clockenflap.com. The whole festival is English-first — tickets are sold on the official site with no local ID, phone number or address required. This is one of the lowest-friction festivals in Asia for an overseas buyer.
- First-come sale. Tickets (single-day and multi-day) go on general sale ahead of the festival; there's no lottery. Early-bird tiers are cheaper, so buy early.
- Pay with a foreign card. International Visa/Mastercard work normally; a 3D-Secure prompt from your bank is possible but not a blocker.
- Instant e-ticket / QR. You get an e-ticket by email; on-site it's exchanged for an RFID cashless wristband you preload or link a card to for food and drink.

Getting there & staying
Route: Fly into Hong Kong International (HKG) and take the Airport Express to Hong Kong Station (~24 min); the Central Harbourfront site is a short walk or taxi from Hong Kong / Central MTR.
Last train: The MTR runs until roughly 1am and night buses and taxis are plentiful — getting back to your hotel is easy at any hour, unlike a rural festival.
Staying: Any hotel on Hong Kong Island (Central, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay) or in Kowloon near an MTR line works; the harbourfront is well-connected, so you don't need to be next door.
Bring: Late-November/early-December Hong Kong is mild and dry — a light jacket for the evening harbour breeze is usually enough.
